We were delighted when BXR opened their 12,000 sq foot site earlier this year on Chiltern Street. A state of the art members-only boxing-inspired gym, it has been dubbed ‘the ultimate fight club’.
Co-founder Olia Sardova talked to us about the concept: ‘There’s a phenomena and respect around boxers, and so much class and British heritage in boxing. We wanted to tap into this recent affinity for the sport for it’s physical and mental benefits and offer best in class training and recovery facilities regardless of your ability’
With a curated team of elite trainers including London’s top boxing coaches, therapists and conditioning experts including Jamie Reynolds, Anthony Joshua’s head strength and conditioning coach, the gym is able to offer something unique. The equipment is also best in class including Technogym, Hammer Strength and Keiser. Members are also able to accurately measure and personally track their progress using the fully-integrated smartphone app, camera feeds and other analytical tools.
The venture is backed by AJ and he trains their regularly along with other professional boxers including Sam McNess, up and coming super welterweight who featured in our SS16 campaign.
The gym itself is an impressive, inspiring space balancing an authentic East End feel with state of the art facilities. The changing rooms are better than most luxury hotel spas and their is a bespoke fitness menu served in the Ringside lounge for after-workout relaxation.
Limited annual memberships are available as well as ‘pay as you go’ SWEAT BXR classes in the three studios in the basement.
