Together with Mr Porter we gave our new travel suit a transatlantic test run with some stylish friends of the brand: Jeremy Mitchell and Isaac Hinden-Miller. Here's some shots of how they styled the suit for their travels.
Isaac is a menswear writer and DJ living in New York. He wears the travels suit with a Tubular seamfree tee and says: "It feels like pajamas but you can wear on it on the street, I don't want to take it off".
Jeremy Mitchell is a photographer and menswear writer of The Novelty Report @xxjmitch
Both seasoned, regular travellers we asked them for their top 5 travel tips:
1) What are your travel heroes? Anything you don't travel without?
Isaac: Burt's Bees lip balm for the dry plane air; John Grisham novels, my iPhone and lots of movies for the endless hours, especially when I'm going home to New Zealand; Shangpree Marine Energy eye masks to get rid of the bags under my eyes; my headphones and usb sticks just in case I need to jump on and do a djing set while I'm away.
2) Your favourite soundtrack?
Isaac: I like listening to sad songs in airports - The Cure, LCD Soundsystem, the whole Take Care album by Drake... anything nostalgic. On the road I love late 90s/early 2000s R&B and hip hop- anything from Boyz II Men to Biggie to Ginuwine to 50 cent to Fabolous; and old faithfuls like Fleetwood Mac and Toto.
3) Top travel destinations?
Isaac: Paris, Miami, Palm Springs, Greece, New Zealand...
6) Best place in New York to get coffee?
Isaac: Ninth Street Espresso on the corner of 9th street and Avenue C, and Three Seat Espresso on Avenue A between St Marks and 9th Street. New York is the cold brew capital of the world so you gotta go iced.
