Tech Spec: round-up of the summer's best gadgets

Hamilton and Hare | The Journal | Damn Good Gadgets

It's hard to know which gadgets will simplify life and which will complicate.  Breakthrough funding rounds on Kickstarter for new tech doesn't help demystify the issue.  We have noticed there are certain things we do more of in the Summer: sport, travelling and wish we had a pizza oven.  So we focussed on those, because that seemed sensible.

1. TRAVELLING
A cross between a travel companion and a blood houndTrakdot promises that you will never deal with lost luggage again, or even the stress of possibly losing it.  We also thought that Boxx deserved a honourable mention in the travel category on the basis of it being awesome.
2. SPORT AND HEALTH
Wearable tech champion and guaranteed not to be a flash in the pan the Garmin Forerunner 620 is also a nominee for T3 best wearable tech.  It also looks good as a watch, something that can't be said for the others.
3. FOOD & DRINK
If you started barbecuing in May, as is the Englishman's enthusiasm for the alfresco flame-grill, you might be looking to change things up a bit so why not this Romana Pizza OvenPlus everyone loves pizza.
