To celebrate the launch of our new loungewear collection we sat down with some of the best industry insiders from the world of menswear for an insight into life behind the lens and what they like to do and wear in their downtime.
Martell Campbell has a background in textile design and a keen eye for great new brands with fine tailoring. A frequent main stay at the London Collections, having featured in the likes of GQ and Vogue, the young entrepreneur from Balham tell us he has his sights set for more as he teams up with his sister for the launch of their own brand.
We know there is a lot more to being a blogger. Maintaining a great site and following takes time and effort. So, what is a typical day for you?
A typical day for me, would be at home in front of the mac writing a blog post, emailing clients, trend/brand research or outside somewhere shooting an outfit look for the blog. I am also starting up a brand with my sister, so it would be a mix between all of the above.
What about your spare time, how do you like to spend it?
In my spare time I like to go to vintage and charity shops to see if I can find any interesting things. I also enjoy museums, exhibitions and Japanese anime.
Your blog often focuses on fashion-forward street style. How you dress in your downtime is always seen to be secondary, is this the case for you?
In my downtime I usually dress in more casual but it's still very structured. On the weekends, even if I'm not going anywhere I still like to get dressed up but I would be wearing a white shirt with chinos, casual blazer but I’d still have to wear a lightweight waistcoat, tie and casual brogues. In some cases when I'm really chilled out I do wear loungewear - a T-shirt and shorts.
